Just went here for the first time on Saturday. I had friends visiting from out of town and one wanted crabcakes. I did a little research and Lobstershack came highly recommended! Everything was great, from the food to the views, down to them letting us move our reservation up from the original time. They even had live music to set the ambiance. We all enjoyed our food very much! I will definitely return.
Lobster Shack is on my list for top 10 best restaurants in all of CT. First of all, the staff are all super nice and super friendly and I loved talking with them. The decor. THE DECOR IS AMAZING. It took them 2 whole days to put all this Christmas decor up and it’s gorgeous. And then the food. Wow. Wooooow. Their chef is incredible. And bartender. So I started off with a cousin eddy drink that comes with the tree cake and if you want an alcoholic bevvy, get this one because it’s a delight. My friend got a hot chocolate and loved hers as well. For appetizers we split some crab cakes that were so flavorful, I was in absolute love. And some jumbo shrimp that were beautiful too. For my entree I had a lobster sushi roll and the flavor that came off the sushi roll was magnificent. My friend ordered the lobster mac and it was so tasty I wanted to cry. It was gorgeous. The lobster meat was perfect and the mac and cheese portion was as well. Just a wonderful gem of a restaurant in CT, I’ll be back for more soon!
This is quite a nice place to have your lobsta roll fix if you are on 95. It is about 15 minutes off of the interstate but it worths a stop over. Make sure you check their time of operation just in case. The restaurant has 2 levels and also the outdoor seatings during warm months. The upper levels gave you a glimpse of the ocean. The staffs are very nice and accommodating. The lobster rolls are in very good portion with the bread is on point with a good amount of butter to be so delicious. Crab cakes are ok. I would prefer crab cakes in Baltimore where there was less breadcrumbs and more crabs. Raw oysters were succulent and fresh. Overall, it’s definitely a must stop over for me when I will pass by this area again. The parking lot provided a lot of spaces. We arrived on a Friday evening and it seems almost full. I would not worry much since you can utilize street parking if needed. Note: there are about 5 or 6 stop signs on the way in from Interstate. It’s a residential area so make sure you slow down and make complete stops. Drive safely!
I had a fantastic experience at Lobster Shack near Branford, CT, this past Tuesday with my mom, aunt and cousin. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Valentine's Day, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that made our visit even more special. Our server was excellent, attentive, friendly and made sure we had a great dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was full of flavor. Between the charming Valentine's decor, the wonderful service, and the amazing seafood, this spot is definitely worth a visit.
The Lobster Shack is a beloved favorite during the summer, but this gem really impressed us this winter with their beautiful Christmas decorations and recently expanded menu! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t believe they even had sushi! Their drinks were super creative, and the staff was so kind and told me they’d be happy to make any of them into a mocktail, which I really appreciated. Including the Christmas cake was such a fun touch in the eggnog drink! Every staff member we encountered was so friendly, and one even made sure I didn’t forget my leftovers before I left! I can’t wait to come back and will certainly return during the summer!
Margaret was our server and was super friendly and attentive! We both had the hot lobster rolls. I also had the lobster bisque. BEST lobster roll we have ever had! Very generous portion. The soup was very good. The Bloody Mary drink was perfect too! We will most definitely return when we come back to CT! Thanks so much for a fabulous lunch!!!
Good views and great food. Hit the LS for lunch and was not disappointed. Sat up on the outside rooftop to take in the scenery while we ate. Beer was cold, crab cakes were tasty, and the lobster roll on sourdough with onion rings hit the spot. Staff was friendly from the hostess who seated us to tue wait staff who served us. Will absolutely be back again!
Food was superior. Bread pudding was however a bit overly sweet for our liking from the sauce but sure was tasty! Our server, Mara, was very attentive and is a delight to Lobster Shack. Great full of energy. My buddy and I had a wonderful time. Thanks for having us!
